Epoch Coffee is a favorite local coffee shop offering coffee drinks, tea, and breakfast tacos. Mouthwatering Texas barbeque is served at the legendary County Line on the Lake, and Wally’s Burger Express is a family-friendly spot for freshly made hamburgers, chicken, hot dogs, tacos, and milkshakes. The Grove‘s newest location offers a full menu and wine list under a beautiful heritage oak tree.

Northwest Hills is a quiet residential community tucked away northwest of downtown Austin. The rustic natural setting lends itself to outdoor activities that take place along the winding roads within the neighborhoods and in local parks and preserves. It’s an area that appeals to those with an affinity for nature but still want to be close to the city center.

The Bull Creek District Park is a popular gathering place for locals. The park is an excellent place for hiking, exploring, mountain biking, and swimming in the refreshing waters of Bull Creek. The Stillhouse Hollow Nature Preserve offers hikers a paved trail that winds through a thick canopy of cedar and juniper and ends at a deck with fabulous views of the valley below. The trail is gently sloped and suitable for hikers of all ages and abilities. 

Within the community of Northwest Hills, there are also some wonderful parks and playgrounds. Doss School Park is a lovely spot for picnics and kids’ play dates. The Loewy Family Playground is a new and modern playscape for kids, offering shaded areas and various climbing structures.
